I can't ctrl + click and drag to copy in song editor

I have Lmms 1.2.2 and it used to be that I could do ctrl+click and drag to copy sections in song editor, but I can't do it anymore. What is happening? Why can't I ctrl+click and drag anymore?

Have you tried restarting your pc?
Check if ctrl+left / ctrl+right works ad expected in an other program. You could have a hw-fail, eg It could be mouse, or keyboard
