This isn't quite the answer you are looking for, but when I need a quick and dirty bpm match I just load it in a project, turn the metronome on, and raise/lower the tempo until it is in time.

Both suggested are useful, but you can actually use lmms to pinpoint the actual bpm in a recording.
Make a natural selection of what you would regard as a bar, in a program like audacity.
Then follow this guide and create a perfect loop.
The just read-out the BPM that creates that perfect loop.
It will make more sense, after you have watched the tutorial :)

If you’re looking for the best way to get the BPM of a song, the easiest method is to use an online BPM tapper. You just listen to the song and tap along to the beat, and it calculates the BPM for you. I’d recommend using https://tapbpm.net/ – it’s super simple, accurate, and works right in your browser. You just tap to the rhythm, and it gives you the BPM instantly. Definitely a handy tool to have!
