Como ni en Kubuntu ni en Linux Mint, los dos basados en Debian, pude tener el LMMS más reciente y sólo me instalaba el 1.0.0 debí recurrir a KxStudio descargando el archivo deb e instalándolo.
Así fue que finalmente, en Linux Mint pude tener el LMMS 1.1.3
El problema empezó primero con ruidos extraños usando el sistema de ALSA. Lo solucioné usando la opción de Direct Sound. Cuando ya estaba todo de forma correcta sucedió que al abrir varios proyectos el LMMS se cerraba inesperadamente.

Anduvo bien hasta que quise usar el VesTige para probar unos VST que me había bajado de VST4FREE. Ahí me mostraba en la bash que (WINE no me pertenece.) Mientras que en LMMS aparecía un cartelito que decía que por alguna razón no se pudo abrir el VST.
Comprobé luego que era por usar el LMMS como superusuario. Si abría el LMMS normalmente sí podía usar los VST. Pero con el problema de estar en algún proyecto y perderlo porque se me cierra por "violación de segmento" no sé cómo usar el LMMS sin problemas con la simple idea de hacer música sin preocuparme de estas cosas.
