In lmms we have a whole lot of CALF plugins.
They are much more advanced and apealing on linux instalations, than on windows. It should be possible to get advanced GUIs also in lmms

If anyone knows how to do the necessary setup for this, the linux users would appreciate.
As a win-user i have NO clue, and it wont work in windows!!
- but please share your linux-knowledge, if you do know how!

I would like to know this too. The CALF gear GUI's not only look great they also make the plugins easier to use.

Well, we use LADSPA inside LMMS and ladspa is an outdated standard that has no GUI support. When LMMS gets LV2 (ladspa version 2) support, you will be able to use all the fancy calf GUI's. LV2 is not gonna happen in 1.2, but might happen in some other version.

If you have carla, you can use the calf LV2's and their GUI on instuments that are loaded in carla. No automation atm though.

As a small comfort inside lmms, on Linux, I don't have that great gui either.
