Why can't I import audio file directly to sound editor?

Anything that doesn't fit into other topics goes here!
Hei,

I'm completly new to LMMS, so sorry if this is a dummy question. Different from others DAWs where I can drag and drop /import a WAV file directly to the Editor (Ardour), I cannot do that on LMMS. It seems that I always need an instrument for that. In this case, the Audio File Processor. Is that a system design decision or am I missing something?

Thanks.

We dont regard any questions to be, as long as they are relevant for lmms :)

Yes, you need to learn about Sample-tracks
You cant drag from window-explorer, but you can drag from LMMS'-sample-browser. Read
