I sort of finalized this track a week or two ago, and I'm not sure how to feel about it. It's one of those intensely personal things that's difficult to detach from and I could use an outside perspective. Let me know what you think?

Its a nice start. Not sure I like the voice much, but it sounds you need at thing before your mike, that helps against the too loud ssssss.

Yeap it's a nice song. The vocals sound like speech synthesizer , a robot indeed ! If it was my song I would put the voice somewhere deeper in the mix and centered with reverb maybe

I loved the entire vibe of the track. As I said on the reply on my post, you get closer to The Residents in the same time having your own unique touch on your production. I liked the vocals more on the second part. Keep it going and always do what you love!

The original vocals recording was actually pretty clear, but I added a bitcrush effect to it to try to make them sound more... electronicy? Idk. That's where the hiss is coming from anyway. Distorting vocals and still making them sound good is hard. My voice faltered a lot in those takes, so it might not hurt to redo them anyway. Thanks!

Thanks for the pointers! I was trying to add some depth to the mix by panning the voices the way I did. I don't think it worked the way I hoped it would.

I went to your soundcloud profile and you experiment a lot ! This one you selected is not what I listen to usually, so no opinion, but if people want to hear more "conventional stuff", here are the ones I liked immediately
