So I'm running on Linux Ubuntu 64bit. Basically I've tried downloading a vst from a couple websites and it hasn't let me use any of them. I'll drag it to the song editor and it says "The plugin wasn't found or couldn't be loaded. Reason: Plugin not found." I've spent about an hour searching for solutions and nothing I've found has worked. Any help would be appreciated.

When you say drag it do you mean that you drag the *.dll into songeditor?

Dragging the dll i however not the recommended way, but it does work..

I would like you to try redoing loading with the methods in the video, and also try MDA-Piano http://mda.smartelectronix.com/synths.htm
It is very small in size, and you can just copy its dll to your VST-folder. Further its a quite good piano-instrument, so it is a win win
