Tracks displaying beat editor instead of usual blocks

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
I wasn't able to find anything about this online, and it feels like I'm missing something obvious. When I open them, Piano roll pops up. All of the plugins are like this except for Sample track, Beat/Bassline and Automation track. Help would be appreciated :)

I wasn't able to find anything about this...
That is a deprecated 'feature' and the result of zooming over 800 times.
Then you get that step-pattern input gadget.
To get rid of it, just set a magnification

Man, i miss that feature. It would be could if you could still put beat notes in the piano roll by holding down a specific key.

A special feature for that type of input is redundant. All you need to do is to open in piano-roll, and only insert notes ontick in a 1/16 grid. That results in the exact same distribution pattern as if you had used pattern-editor

I thought beat notes played different to 16th notes? I thought they played with very specific lengths. I didn't knew it was the same as a 1/16 note. I thought so because when you change the BPM the length of the note changes with the 16th notes, but not with the beat notes...
