How to search forum??

Hi guys,
This may be a stupid question, but how do you use the search function in this forum? Whenever I try to search for something, it tells me the search terms I'm using are 'too common'.
I don't want to have to keep creating new threads about topics that have already been covered.
Thanks

you need to explain the 'google'
Google will allow you to search an online database, such as a bulletin-board
http://www.google.com/advanced_search
where lmms domain is
http://lmms.io/forum/
You can also use code:
The usage is as:
Code: Select all
site:http:<url-as-string>/ "<token-as-string>"

I'll take a look at the search settings, so it won't block so many words as common.

Thank you umcaruje.
My experience with search functions on multiple forums is not very positive though. This forum is not different to others in that respect.
Google works much better. (with adding the specific forum)
