As I have been messing around with LMMS, I found that a few things seem to be missing from the Beat + Baseline editor (Things that I have seen in similar software).
  • Have something that shows which step is currently being played
  • Have a way to fill each (2, 4 or 8) steps and it will automatically replace what is there with those new steps
  • Allow the use of click and hold to add steps until mouse button is released
  • Allow the use of right click and hold (or middle mouse) to remove steps until mouse button is released
  • Add an editor to adjust the: Pan, Pitch and Velocity of a step for each instrument

I would like to have this as well. While music production is about relying more on ears and less on eyes, some visual cues and feedback are always welcome.

you can in pianoroll of the BB-editor

    comes in next release

no, the steps need to be in blocks, if the beat shall loop
  • Allow the use of right click and hold (or middle mouse) to remove steps until mouse button is released
    no again
  • Add an editor to adjust the: Pan, Pitch and Velocity of a step for each instrument
you already can, open the BB in piano-roll (velocity is only for midi-kb)

Sorry, but I think you misunderstood these two (or I used poor terms). I don't/didn't mean a new block of steps, but click and hold to add/remove notes. Adding/removing one note at a time is more time consuming than it needs to be.
You can change the velocity of BB notes by scrolling your mousewheel over it. Opening BB tracks in Piano-roll isn't really a solution, so yeah I'll check if any of your requests already exist on github, and if not I'll make a new ticket.

..isent it 'only' volume - i believe velocity does need a midi-kb, with key-depress-speed-feature (really cheep one does not have it)
