My dog barks sometimes

But what if I wanted to pan the dry signal left and the treated sound right, say reverb. I am not sure how to do this in LMMS as there are no pan knobs in the FX mixer

Use the Stereo Matrix effect.

Uh, along with the FX mixer that is. Put one FX bus reverb, and another dry, and send the instrument to the dry, and set it to all left, then send the dry to the reverb and send the signal right.
