Hi everybody,
I wanted to share the OST of Fantom Quest, an short video game that I just released (downloadable at https://kuadrado-software.itch.io/fantom-quest - ⚠️ game is only in french at the moment ).

I made the soundtracks entirely with LMMS :)
They are available on my Soundcloud profile : https://soundcloud.com/abstractobject/s ... al_sharing

This is a really cool, well made game ost you made there, and I like alot of them.
Because of the work I do, I sometimes have to listen to indie videogame ost's, and I must admit, this is one of the top best I have listened to in a long time. But dude, that Stairs ost is scary. Now I am afraid to go down the stairs, in a spooky castle. Lol! :D

Yeah bro. It was a really good listen.
If you have any other lmms game ost's, feel free to post them.
I do have some other game OSTs made with LMMS:

https://soundcloud.com/abstractobject/s ... _gamemusic

Those were made quite a while ago for very small games, but I quite like them :).

I just listened to both albums. Nice big collection of tunes bro. In the Cervolab tracks, I like the Cervolab Level 2 track. That track sounds really cool.
There's clearly a strong musical identity to the soundtrack. I haven't tried the game, but this certainly gives of a nice atmosphere with all the reverb. I'm guessing it would be kind of a slower game with a focus on exploration so I really like the textural approach. Though it's probably a soundtrack that works best in context, so I will try the game.

Also I never really think to mention this, because I only notice it when it's a real mess, but production-wise this seems pretty high quality. Very clean. And some of these synths are really hardcore, almost kind of analog sounding.

"Generic" and the unused one are my favorites along with the title theme and "Dungeons". That's not really useful feedback, but I thought I'd mention it.
Thanks for those feedbacks ! I'm glad to read this :) .

The game is still in french only, I want to make an english mode, but I still didn't find the time.. But I guess you can try in anyway, it's not a very complicated game :D !

The synths are almost all made with the TripleOscillator with a few effects. I always use this one for everything because it's so versatile, and it's the closest to what I'm used to when working with hardware and analog synthesis.

I don't mind and will give it a try. Also this might come kind of out of nowhere, but if you need a proofreader, I would be available. And it's cool to meet a one person dev team kind of guy (my assumption based on you making the soundtrack and the game). I always used to try pulling that of as a kid, but eventually ended up just focussing on music.

You work with real hardware synths? That sounds awesome and I'm so jealous. I could never reasonably afford real synthesizers, so it's all software for me. Also analog synths are brutal and I never really learned to tame them.

Thanks for this proposal ! I'll let you know for some future project maybe :).

For this game we were actually two person, one made the design and graphics, and I made the music/SFX and the coding. But that's indeed pretty much "home made" !
