buzzing niose when playing and making notes

I am new to lmms been using it for about a week or so. Just one day when i opened up one of my tracks and played it back it started to make this annoying buzzing sound. I don't really know much about the software but i need help getting rid of that annoying sound. I tried adjusting the buffer sound but still no luck. Can any one help? any suggestions? I am eagerly awaiting to use lmms again.

Hmmmm.
Check in the settings and see if the folder paths, have any out of place symbols, eg. * or % or dash signs that look different.
All of the dash signs eg. / or \ should be facing the same direction.

Also, if your audio setting is portaudio, try changing it too SDL and see what happens from there.
Note: If you change anything in the settings menu, you'll have to close Lmms and restart it again, for the changes to take effect.

I play back through an external USB interface and it sometimes does that to me if I leave it connected and the laptop goes to sleep. Just unplugging and plugging back in always fixes it for me .
