Is there a way to shorten the bars in piano roll.

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
There has to be a way to shorten the bars .My sample doesn't exactly fit a bar and wont loop right leaving me with this awful awkward space until it goes back to the start again. I've tried to look for answers to this problem forever and i haven't found anything that has helped as of yet. there bars should at the very least be able to go to half's .OR MAYBE there is another way im supposed to do this.
Can't you simply adjust the BPM until the sample does fit i.e. until a bar lasts exactly as long as you want it to ?

njaohnein - thats a real hazzle and thats where so called 'acid-fyed' loops come in. Loop-trackers was the brain-child of acidMusic. Their tracker got a real hype and well earned success in late 90'. I got my copy with an external HD, and i really didden knew what it was, before a out of boredom one day took a look at the bundled software.. and it was a cutie!
Sadly SONYmusic liked the software too, and bought acidMusic. Emediately all promises of life-time upgrades and cool new packs for dl was scratched :/
*sighy*
...enough memories :p
In lmms there may be a new feature 'later'. I have thought about a method for adding a tracker with exact looping of any sample over n bars, and lmms almost have the architecture for it already! Right now lmms handles samples badly, -especially sample-track, but it will improve ..'later' :p
But @trewqazwer, the only option is to record your loop to fitting size in another program like audacity, and then use that file in your project

Have you tried the "enable loop" function on the AudioFileProcessor of that sample? You can then draw 1 note on the piano-roll, the sample will continue to loop until being cut off at the end of the note instead of the bar.
that's the problem the note is too long and doesn't fit my sample and i cant keep repeating because baseline will get too smalll and complicated. and will never end on a note. seems to be a HUGE design flaw. I wont to hope the bars can be shortened because i cant get anywhere near accurate.
loop doesn't work for some reason it continues to have this space.
