How important is loudness in your (semi-)mastered tracks?

I'd say it's very important.
Especially in cases where you make a good song, you want it to be loud enough on default, for the listener.
So that he/she, would not have to turn up the volume alot, just to listen to it.

Also, these days, we have alot of lazy gamers and believe it or not, lazy music listeners. :P
Who find, that turning up the volume/volume knob,.....is tiring. Lol! :P

Volume/Loudness normalization should also be taken in consideration. Youtube has this sort of thing, which makes loudness maximizing during the mastering process a little less relevant.
