Just got off the phone with geek squad and they’re telling I’m gonna need to get a new computer because the battery in the one i currently have is expanding and could potentially explode. [Link removed] Anyways does anyone know if it is possible to transfer all my projects (like mmpz files) vst’s and drum/Sound kits to the new computer that I’m going to be getting? I spent WAYYYY too many hours on this music and I CANNOT lose it anything helps.

Yes that is a task, but fully doable.
But first!
Since your current PC is dudgy, i would emediately make complete backups of all your own stuff (not just LMMS-stuff) on a USB HD.
Do that now!

Migration of LMMS: (If on windows.. (?)
The only thing that can give issues is if you do not have your own files in
C:/Documents | LMMS that is our default setup!

The VST-instruments are sometimes kept in the folder Steinberg
That folder is not related to LMMS at all, but If you have that folder and does use it for your VST-instruments, then make SURE to replicate that path and folder-structure when you configure your new pc!!!
When you have configured your new pc as needed, then just dl our newest 1.3, witch is better that off 1.2.2, and make a full-default installation.
From your backup-USB, just copy every item from resp.
C:/Documents | LMMS /.. subfolder
Into the new default sub-folders in
C:/Documents | LMMS

Everything should work now.
Let us know the outcome :)

Besides that, since you are new in Forum
