i was trying to sidechain a kick with a 808, did all the steps (correct me if im wrong) added a peak controller to the kick, adjusted settings, then tried to connect the 808's volume to the peak controller, doesn't work.

Hard to say whats wrong without seeing project. There are a lot of ways to sidechain -Have to say that i am a fan of the FLs simple curve version. Dislike 'Classic' sidechain with sliding knob -Its an overhead and its not necessary, but does work.

i have tried sidechaining with the peak controller, and the advanced one with the calf compressor, neither seems to have worked.
will try the other ones to see if they work.

nevermind i am extremely dumb i forgot to set it to the user controller while connecting. thank you for the help though!
