Has the LMMS community ever tried to drum up usage of the platform by having community based competitions (with no real prizes or anything, just sharing music)?
There could be various themes or constraints (e.g. write a [MUSIC GENRE] song or only use [X] number of instruments or make use of [EFFECT] in the song) and it would give something for people of all levels to aspire to. There could be a deadline for submission and then a deadline for voting. I think you could even use the board as the place to manage it all.
I see that there were yearly competitions (Best of LMMS) which look great, but maybe too infrequent and too ... dare I say important.. for more casual users.
