no Sound when I press replay on the piano roll

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
Hello,
If I input a new note or press a note already there, i do get sound in the piano roll . Can't get any sound when I press replay or space bar in the piano roll bar. When in the song editor, I do get sound. Help please.
I also just opened some old projects and get no sound whether music editor or piano roll. So I have no idea what is happening.
Thanks.
please post your:
* OS (+service-pack-ver)
* lmms vers
* hardware specification (ram & soundcard is the most imortant)
* lmms sound device chosen
* if relevant, demo mmp
Hi musikbear,
Here is information requested. I tried but do not know how to include a demo mmp.

Toshiba Satellite BIOS VER 2.80.09/07/10
Windows 7 Ultimate Service Pack 1
Intel Core i7 Q 740 @ 1.73 ghz 1.73 4 GB ram 64 bit operating system

NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M (Driver ver 340.52, CUDA Cores 48, etc.)

LMMS version 1.13 (win32/x86_64, Qt 4.8.7, gcc 4.9.3 201503305 (prerelease)

Sound Device?: Audio Interface: SDL (Simple DirectMedia Layer) [no settings for SDL available]
No sound using laptop's speaker or earphones

Thank you for your attention, Roberto
everything looks superfine ..unfortunately

..darn, i have several ideas but all up to now dont fit the place-note sound and the muted old projects.. im really white-out here :o

A project file wont really explain anything either, because you have it in new project, as well as old ones.. which eliminate all my ideas....

To make sure i understand everything:
If you do this:
* turn on your pc from OFF
* open lmms
* open a piano-roll in default 3oc in that brand new project
* insert a note -That note plays with sound
* press play in piano-roll That note 'plays' withOUT sound
* click mouse ON the note The note again plays with sound
* jump to song-editor
* play the only block with one note That block 'plays' withOUT sound

is that correct?
Hi musikbear,
Thank you for your concern.
I have no idea at this point as to what happened at the beginning of this problem. I followed your instructions, and that works ok.
But the problem persisted, more or less. I finally realized that the setting for the default S2 soundset had somehow changed (though I don't think I had changed the settings or the location of the soundset). I'll see if another problem happens as I think everything is not solved but will see what, if and when it happens.

I will now get back to enjoying lmms which, by the way, is a great program. I am especially greatfull for this forum and your good assistance.
Tak tak! Roberto
You are welcome, and thank you.
