Automation Editor: I can't find the Select mode control for selecting (and Ctr A doesn't work), nor the Move selection mode, and the eraser won't erase most old points. How does the tension knob work?
The explanation as given in the lmms shows a section mode and a move mode, where is it in the automation editor?

there is no copy/ paste or select in Automation Editor. The context-menu is confusing, and is (expected) changed in next release
The issue with not being able to erase points is propl because you have a very high magnification, but large Q, then points can 'slip' under. Try to delete points at default 100% magnification. If there is a problem. i need the file.
