so exporting is weird

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
Is it just me, or, when you export a project, it sounds much different than in the actual app? I have no better way to explain this and I don't know if I can fix this.

Sorry to hear that.
It is not common.
Do you oversample?
That can lead to artefacts
But to dissect your issue please post your:
* Name of your Operative System (Windows/ Linux/ Mac) And subtype (Home' 'Mint' '10.13' aso)
* lmms version, and the site where you got it from
* lmms sound device chosen
https://docs.lmms.io/user-manual/gettin ... o-settings
* hardware specification (ram & soundcard is the most important)
* Name Mark and version of MIDI-Hardware
* Buffer-size Latency setting
https://docs.lmms.io/user-manual/gettin ... uffer-size
If the issue are with default content:
* lmms instrument involved
* lmms preset (if a factory preset is used)
* Name of FX-plugin if any used
If the issue are with non-default content:
* VST involved & link to a download for this VST
* Name of VST-FX-plugin if any used
* a screenshots of error-state -if any oddness appear
* a sound-file on soundcloud or a similar service
Best is to open the
projects\demos\Greippi - Krem Kaakkuja (SecondFlight Remix).mmpz
and export that, then upload the file on Soundcloud or similar service

It's usually because you exported the project at a sample rate that's different from the one lmms uses when playing in the editor. Lmms likes to force 44.1 kHz regardless of the system settings, unless you use something like Jack or an Asio driver. It's a nasty but well known flaw in the program.
