Recording in LMMS

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
Hi everyone!

I've been using LMMS for a while, since v. 0.4..., and everything's working good.
But I noticed that in the Song Editor, the buttons for recording are always greyed out, and, no matter how I configure it, I was never able to ger this working (so I can't record audio in LMMS).
I've tried JACK, but LMMS can't connect to my audio devices.

Is this feature (audio recording) currently working on LMMS?
If so, what am I doing wrong?
no, there is no audio-recording at all. The buttons are place-holders. -sorry.
For years, this has been one of the biggest criticisms and one of the most wanted features. Many feel that LMMS isn't a fully featured DAW because of this.

Maybe it's time to combine our efforts and make this top priority.
Thanks for the reply, guys.
I tried everything to see if it worked, but neither JACK nor Puslse couldn't find the 'input' ports in LMMS....
I'll keep using Audacity for sampling and Ardour for advanced audio recording, editing... Sometimes I make the drumloops first in Hydrogen... then export all the tracks (both from Hydrogen and LMMS) to do the final mix - master in Ardour....

I really like LMMS and, for EDM, most of the work can be done directly in this great DAW... (except recording!)

LMMS has added a lot of cool features recently and the developement seems really active right now.
Maybe the recording capabilities are not so far in the horyzon.

I hope!!

FYI: the placeholder buttons have been removed in the master branch.
There -fixed!
:p

No seriously, there will be recording, but when, how and what format, is completely un-scheduled
