Send-buttons in the mixer

Hello!
Does anybody here want to tell me how the send-buttons in the mixer work? I feel like they could useful to me (at least I've already heard a lot about stuff which seems related to them)!I've tried doing something with them, but I didn't really get a result.. so I tried looking in the lmms-wiki, where I didn't find anything. If someone can link something about this, I'd be very thankful! I like texts more than videos, but both ways are pretty ok (other ways too, but I don't really know any other tutorial things other than text and video).
If I have understood what I does and if I've already played a bit arround with it, I might even consider to update the wiki article about the mixer! (Including send-buttons)
I also don't really know if this is the right place to post it in, but I think this is the most close.
