No it's not a shame, because if the previous version is working well then devs really don't need to plane a new version release....

Can you try to convince the developers to make lmms load mp3, thank you.

MP3 is in!
The Nightly builds is now updated to the latest development version with added support for mp3 files.
Please download and test it out.
https://lmms.io/download#linux (Nightly Version)
Edit: Apparently this currently only works when compiling from source. Fix under way...

please let me know when lmms will be able to load mp3 for lmms on windows
