Did everyone in the 70s and 80s have access to a orchestra?

I've been listening to soul and jazz on YouTube for years and it amazes me that even unknown acts seemed to have access to great musicians n gear. Beautiful orchestrations can be found even in the rarest music https://omegle.onl/ vshare .
Guess the question is how was this possible? Was music more profitable, recording cheap, did studios all have a ready team of musicians and composers?
