New to LMMS and making music in general

I love music with melancholic melody and have really gotten into Lofi over the past few years. In trying to pick up a new hobby and explore my creative side, I want to learn how to make Lo-Fi music. Downloaded LMMS to begin my journey, but honestly pretty lost. Aside from constantly listening to music, I have no other understanding of music theory or whatever. So question is, where do I start? Also, artist recommendations are appreciated. For example, I'm into BORNS, XXXTencion, Kid Cudi, Joey Pecorraro, just anyone with a sad vibe.

You do need the most basic understanding of music-theory.
I have made easy to understand videos on the subject

You also need the familiar yourself with LMMS

After this is in the bag 3. recommendation is to find a piece of the music you like, and to remake it!
You will learn about the structure in the music and how to get that groove that gives that type of music its special quality.
