I understand this as if you want to use a track from an other project in current project?
You can provided that any effects on the instrument are on the effect-TAB of that instrument, and NOT on the effect-channel in mixer!
Then Open two instances of lmms side by side
grab the instruments grip-handle

so you can move it
press ctrl
drag the instrument and its track with all notes over to second-instances' songeditor, and drop it there.
You now got the track from project-1 copied to project-2
Save project 2
Close both instances
Open a new instance and load project-2. It will now be just as before except in also have the whole track + all notes and effect-settings from project-1
