Need a new PC to best utilize LMMS 1.3, please advise!

I am at a point where my files are pushing the limits of my CPU and RAM. Plus I am using Windows 7 and I need a new PC to update to 10. Just wondering how much better/faster LMMS 1.3 would run on a different system.

Current specs:

Windows 7 Ultimate x64

IntelCore 2Duo CPU E7300 @ 2.66 Ghz, 2660 Mhz, 2 Cores, 2 Logical Processors

Physical Memory RAM 4GB

I am looking at some refurbished PCs with 8-16 GB RAM, and quad-core CPUs, and Windows 10. I am fond of the Dell Optiplex so probably will get one of those. Would be great to be able to replace the graphics card for Blender eventually but that's another whole thing. I don't have a lot of money to spend.

Anyhow, how much better will a new PC be? aside from being able to use Vital, and every other plugin I currently cannot use lol.

With making music you cant have too much ram.

If possible I would go for 8 - 16 gig.

Not sure if LMMS will run much faster, but you definitely can use more heavy plugins.

For lmms the graphic card is not that important, for Blender it can be, but graphics cards are expensive at the moment.
