LMMS' strength is that it i
user driven! Everything you see is the result of input from users of the DAW. Users ideas are being taken serious, and we love to implement new stuff when we get great advises.
The adeficits in LMMS is that it is a 'after-hour' project.
Everything is being done by volunteers in their spare time. We do not have milestones. Everything comes when it comes.
The biggest complaint of '
something missing' is 'simple' sound-recording. We do not have that!
It is however ridiculously simple to just use any sound recording software running in parallel with LMMS. I have never missed sound-recording.
So if you
* can manage without recording inside LMMS
* Like free and open software
* Like devs that takes time to assist users
Then LMMS ís a great choice to the price of free
