Installing plugins on a mac -MAC-expert needed.

hey im new to music and daws, and ive been trying to install some plugins on my mac and have consistently been hitting roadblocks. older solutions ive seen have said do it through wine, but is there any other way?

from what i gather, you're meant to drag a .dll into the vst folder, but every plugin i download seems to give me a .app file or a .pkg and it goes through some weird installation process.

what is it that im missing? any help would be greatly appreciated

trying to install some plugins on my mac

I know nothing about MAC -This is what i googled

LMMS does not support AU-plugins!
In respect to LMMS you must keep all instrument plugins in a subfolder of Samples.
