Why there's no way to measure the total db of the fx-mixer?
The
total output in dB is is displayed in
Master-channel
How should I know how to set the right volumes for each instrument?
That is Mixing -indeed an art-form, and is also difficult, and takes a lot of time!
You can definitively find 10000+' vids on youTube alone on Mixing, so i am confused that you cant find anything helpful online.
Mixing does not differ from one Daw to another, the available tools may differ.
Your most basic tools are
* EQs!
* Monitors
* Compressors
* Limiters
They are MUST
But also tools like Stereo-enhancer, Bass-boosts, Filters
-can be useful
Google and understand what they do and how to use them!
The goal is to make every single bus ('instrument') stand out clean and clear in the mix, without making Master overshoot and clip, because that distorts the output. That is a long process! -with a lot of work
