Weird file extension glitch when exporting

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
I exported a project to .wav, and when I was changing the filename, I accidentally deleted the .wav extension in the "file name" field. I didn't bother adding it back in because the file type menu below said it was a .wav file (and in every other program I use, that usually means it'll add the extension automatically). However, when I checked the exported file, it didn't have a file extension- It was just the song title. It opened up in audacity fine (though I had to specify to the computer what program to use to open it), and when I added the file extension manually later there were no issues. It was just... kinda weird.

Wanted to leave this here in case it needs to be looked into, or if anybody has a problem in the future relating to this. Like I said, fixing the exported file was simple and didn't have any complications, but I can think of a non-zero number of ways this might present a problem for someone.

Yes, that is so.
I think manual extension has been with lmms for ever. May have something to do with multiplatform. Imo it does not qualify as a bug, perhaps a glitch -at most

Huh... weird that I never noticed it before. Deleting the file extension seems like the kind of mistake I'd make all the time. Thanks for the reply!
