A special feature for that type of input is redundant. All you need to do is to open in piano-roll, and only insert notes ontick in a 1/16 grid. I thought beat notes played different to 16th notes? I thought they played with very specific lengths. I didn't knew it was the same as a 1/16 note. (far right) below 800
