having trouble finding up to date places to get instruments

like the title said, I recently installed LMMS cause I wanted to get into music production and wanted to get some different plugins to get a sound I wanted but most search results I could find lead to outdated stuff, is their a up to date list anywhere

Its unclear to me if 'outdated' means dead links, or old plugins. LOTS of old plugins are extremely good, so dont bash them -try them instead.
It would help us if you explain what types of plugins you want to use, or link to videos with the sound you are looking for.
Do add exact timestamps, for where the wanted sound starts, and less important -ends
then add a timestamp here
Like @2:32 -> 2:55.
On youTube You can btw click on the video, and choose to save the link at the specific time!
Then its much easier to advise good VSTs
