Start/stop from midi controller / external sync / pitchwheel

Could controller assign be added for start/stop of the LMMS sequencer? I have a midi controller keyboard with start/stop and record keys. Would be nice if it can work with LMMS.
Also external midi sync in would be great.
And putch wheel recording, without having to use an automation track.
