Is LMMS a suitable choice for beginners in music production?

I'm brand new to digital music production. My background is in playing acoustic instruments, and I'm excited to start making music on my computer. I've downloaded LMMS and it seems like a good fit so far.

For those of you familiar with LMMS, would you recommend it for a beginner like me? I'm mainly interested in creating pop-style music. Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated!

LMMS can be used to make all kind of music-styles from classic to pop and electronica, so yes, LMMS is a good beginner DAW.

I think LMMS is very good for beginners. There are lots of videos on YouTube which you may find useful, ranging from beginner level to some more advanced production techniques. I've tried alternative DAWs but I find the LMMS user interface much more logical and easier to use. There are also videos which use other DAWs which explain some production techniques that can be applied easily to LMMS.
