Should I start using 1.3 (+ trouble with the Wave Shaper)

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
Hello,

I am a daily user of LMMS and I am looking forward to the release of a stable version of 1.3. As there are some new features that seem very promising (for example, a spectrum analizer that finally does the job!), I'm tempted to go straight to the Alpha version, which is available for download from the LMMS site: https://lmms.io/download#linux

I downloaded it yesterdy to give it a try... I have several questions. Firstly, I've noticed a recurring bug with the Wavce Shaper effect (which simply doesn't seem to work). When I load existing projects, all instruments with this specific effect are extremely saturated, even if I turn down the intensity of the effect. Strange. Do you know if such a bug has ever been reported? Where can I report potential future bugs I may discover?

The second part of my post is to know if you have any advice for anyone who might start using 1.3 on a daily basis, not just to test it, but to really work on my tracks. Is there any risk of my project files being corrupted in any way? Are there any precautions I should take? Are there any features that aren't yet working properly and need attention?

Thank you in advance for your answers, and a huge thank you to the developers! :)

That is a typical alpha situation. The very one that you found yesterday could have an issue with a component, in this case wave-shaper

'No'ish especially if you do not save as MMPZ but always as MMP, then it will be possible to work directly on the project-file, in case of issues. That is impossible for MMPZ
Are there any precautions I should take?
You must know that after you have saved a project with 1.3, you wont be able to open it in 1.2.2.
Are there any features that aren't yet working properly and need attention?
Yes both in 1.2.2 and 1.3 there are several issues and bugs, that is normal in software : )
