Playing an audio sample from the middle

I have a long audio sample in my project using the audio file processor. When I play my project from anywhere after the start of that sample, none of that sample plays. This means if I want to see how another track sounds with my sample near the end of the song, I have to start from the beginning and listen to the whole song just to hear that section. I read that this was fixed in 1.20 (viewtopic.php?t=25848), but I've tried the latest stable version, the 1.30 alpha, and the nightly builds, and LMMS still won't play that sample unless it's started from the beginning, even though I see several github issues related to that closed in 2017. Did that feature get removed, and if so, is there another way to do what I need without trying to split up every large sample into a bunch of smaller ones?

That should not be like that.
Sample-tracks plays samples from all positions in the track
Do you use Audiofile-processor (AFP)?
That is only meant for small audio-clips in Beat-editor and one-shots in song-editor.
Long audio-files is meant to played in Sample-tracks

If you do use Sample-tracks and you cant play in all positions
Please screenshoot the tittlebar so we can see the version you use
It must be one from our hp.
