Annoying sounds after a while of use

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
Hello. I'm new to LMMS, when I use LMMS it makes some annoying sounds, like it pops constantly or something when reproducing any audio within it. It happens randomly, sometimes when I launch it or after a while of using it. When I launch it on the terminal it shows this:

ALSA lib pcm.c:8750:(snd_pcm_recover) underrun occurred
ALSA lib pcm.c:8750:(snd_pcm_recover) underrun occurred
ALSA lib pcm.c:8750:(snd_pcm_recover) underrun occurred
ALSA lib pcm.c:8750:(snd_pcm_recover) underrun occurred
ALSA lib pcm.c:8750:(snd_pcm_recover) underrun occurred
[many more of the same lines]

This message appears constantly in the terminal, like every 200ms or so. Also now it stopped and this message went to the end:
WARNING - too late

My system is a Thinkpad T400 with Void Linux. This happens in LMMS 1.2.2 from Void repository and from the LMMS website and the 1.3.0 version. I just have alsa installed. I've read that it's recommended to use pulseaudio or jack, but i've had many problems with them in the past and I've ignored them, but maybe I could try to install them.

Sorry for bad english and if it's a stupid question, but i didn't find anything here.

Thanks.

I kind of 'hate' these linux distro issues, because they are so difficult to work with. The sad thing is that you can have any kind of 'stuff' installed on your distro, that is a reason, because NO Linux user-installation is similar to any other AND no distro is similar to any other... (and as a sidenote i'm use win :p....
but lets see if we can dissect this.
You have tried both a distro specific lmms (not recommended) AND the 1.3 from our website (sort of recommended, but there are bugs in 1.3 atm)
Then there is the backend with ALSA (not recommended)
When you select backend, do you get SDL as option?
SDL is a must for win, but also works in Linux. If you have that option in void, then try it, and see if there are any improvement.
Then there is 1.3 v, 1.22 Off. AppImages
It would be interesting to see what Off AppImage 1.22 does.
On top of all this we have WINE!
If you use WINE9 then LMMS will fail!
Atm there is no foolproof support of WINE9, and AppImage does not support it!
I hope something here can be used to get lmms working!
Let us know the outcome!
