Vestige and where are the .dll?

Hello,
I've got LMMS mostly sorted out, works fine. I'd like to add some VSTs and have tried a handful, but the actual files just aren't locatable. I mainly really want to use ProjectSam and Spitfire/BBC's samples (waiting for this one still). I have Kontakt6 and 7 but possibly I don't know how to work with them along with LMMS. I used the Vestige plugin to "add" these VSTs and went to where I had directed the app to store those files, but there is nothing at all there. If I open Kontakt, it's just asking for driver and device and I have yet to add the midi keyboard.

Is this just from me not understanding the full process/steps and how to use these things? And is there help for people extremely new to all these combining of apps and programs to help figure it out?

When you unpack/ install the plugin, you should see the folder where this plugin is placed. If that folder only contain an .exe, and no .dll, then it is a VST3, Only VST2 is natively supported in LMMS through Vestige.
Tou need to install Element by kushview for windows, and use that as container/ bridge for VST3. (In Linux Carla is used for bridge)

Make sure your VSTs are installed in the folder LMMS checks. For Kontakt, load it as a VST in Vestige and add your libraries inside Kontakt. Connect your MIDI keyboard before starting LMMS to avoid issues.
