My computer is widows 10 64 bit, 16 gb, intel i5 (no gpu) and I keep getting this issue when I try to switch to a sound font more than 1.9 gb it hangs and then switches back to the previous sound font. I hope this issue can get fixed because I really like how lmms is made compared to other daws and this issue makes me wanna switch so badly because almost all my good sound fonts are more than 2 gb.

Are you sure they are SF's and not
GIGA-Sampler Files? Try and use GIGA-Sampler and see if they load.
It is not necessarily the size of you SF-font that is the problem. Have you tried to use these SF on other programs, like f.i. a demo of any commercial DAW?
