How to use vst's

Im on mac and id like to use vst's, i would like to know if there is a way to install vestige into the current alpha at all or will i have to download a second older version and try to do stuff with that?

I think you need to install wine and maybe compile LMMS yourself.

I am however a linux user, and know little to nothing about macs.

VST-support is not natively implemented for MAC in any release. Apple dislike VST, because Apple cant make money on letting peeps use non-apple apps..
Does WINE exist for MAC?
If it does GPS' gave you the best advice. Properly best to not install WINE9 since that only work on one experimental Nightly, and i dont think it has been added to 1.3-alpha.
