how do I use VesTige

I'm on Ubuntu using the AppImage and I have wine and wine32 downloaded but everytime I try to use a vst it crashes or doesn't work

a few things can be a problem.
1) Wine must be installed before LMMS
2) Wine9 does not work
3) The VST could be flawed.
To test 3 try MDA-Piano https://plugins4free.com/plugin/201/
It is free, and very small in size as well as resource usage. Further its a quite good piano-instrument, so it is a win win.
