In the appimage version of LMMS vsts no longer load after updating to Mint 22, I have Wine installed, and I have tried installing LMMS through apt, but when following the steps on the download page it's saying "E: Unable to locate package lmms-vst-full"
What LMMS version?

1.22 is 'ok' but Alpha1.3 is better also in respect to VST2-support, but if i understand you then you could load VSTs before you updated Mint to ver. 22.
VST-support can be an issue if WINE is installed after LMMS. So the right installation sequence would be
Mint22
Wine for Mint22
LMMS -and i would try 1.3-Alpha
