I looked at TJFREE's YouTube tutorials, and he showed me how to save instrument patterns to a file format. However, I fired up the latest versions of LMMS before 1.3.0, and found that feature removed!!!! What happened!?!??!?

Would you mind posting a link to the tutorial? I'm unsure whether you are referring to saving an instrument preset or exporting a midi clip/pattern. Both should be possible in the nightly version, but perhaps some buttons may have moved around.

I see, so exporting/importing midi clips from the piano roll. That feature does exist, but I believe it's only in the nightly build.

Awwww, man!!!! Is the nightly build stable?

Technically no, but compared to the alpha, it does have quite a few bugfixes and many new features. If you want to try it out, I would just recommend making a backup of your projects before you open them.
