Sounds distort when played together.

Hi, I am new to the LMMS.

When I put two tracks to play together, mostly when there's a strong bass playing, the sounds get distorced.

For exemple, I have a melody playing, then when the bass hits the melody get distorced. The original tone of the melody changes and sounds like is the bass that is playing that melody.

Can somebody help me?

That is propl. one of the most common problems for everyone, and it is called Mix frequency-fighting!
To understand it take a look at any wave-spectrum. You can see that there are parts of all frequencies in any spectrum.

That is not what we want, at least not if there are build-up of these frequencies, because then we have way to much loudness in the combined sound, and that equals distortions!
First thing we can do is to lover the volume in each of the instruments, that 'works' but we also loose loudness, so a much better approach is to sort out those frequencies we do not need in the sound. We use 2 tools: Our ears and an Equalizer or EQ
