Trouble importing MIDI

I've been experiencing a strange new problem. I'm unable to import MIDI files. I keep getting a corrupted file error. I've been able to import the file into Reaper and MUS score without a hitch. I even made a funny little random ditty in LMMS, exported it as a MIDI file, then tried to import that, and still get an error code. I don't know if it's a weird glitch in the software, or the Windows 11 that's running my Lenovo laptop.

Other than this strange problem, everything else seems to work ok.

I've also uninstalled vs 1.22, installed 1.3 beta, and it still didn't work. Then I uninstalled the Beta, and installed the latest stable version. I still couldn't import MIDI files.

You have been able to import MIDI into LMMS before -Right?
Import issues can often be related to buffer issues in windows. Do you restart your PC daily?
Both 1.22 and 1.3 are able to import MIDI. (The package called Nightly can suffer from unexpected issues, because it is not tested)
Try and make a complete reboot and see if that fix you problem with MIDI.

Thank you very much for the quick response despite the crazy things going on. I did just attempt a complete shutdown and restart as you suggested. When I attempted to load a MIDI file into LMMS, it replied with an error warning, stating that the file is corrupted. To answer your question, yes, I've been able to upload MIDI into LMMS for years. But as I mention, Reaper and MusScore have no problem with loading MIDI. Anyway, good to see your website is up and running again. I also made a short intro in that thread.

If you have not tried already see if an other MIDI-file preferable one nót made on LMMS, can load.

Do you mean that the file that LMMS says is corrupted still load on Reaper and MusScore

I'd also suggest checking whether the project behaves the same in a fresh LMMS project with default settings. That can quickly rule out project-specific issues and makes it a lot easier to narrow down the cause. Hope that helps someone else too!
