Question:
Concerning music production on your home system(s), which would you say is the hardest part(s)?
I'm just curious about what other people are struggling with in terms of music production.
With me, the hardest parts are when my ears get tired out during EQ/mixdown and it gets harder and harder to mix well and the process devolves into trial and error --> failure ...usually unless I take a long break and come back to it the next day.
The other hard part is after the tune is done and I realise that it's missing some instruments and specific sounds that I don't have. That tends to block me for long periods of time.
In general, I just try to keep on keeping on and a small percentage of my tune attempts get done to completion. I just keep hoping that I'll get the mental energy and the strategies to finish the others. Gotta stay positive.
