Sforzando in LMMS (Linux Mint)

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.

Hi!

Trying to use sfz files in LMMS on Linux Mint (1.3.0-alpha.2). I've searched around the forum but could only find messages from years ago about this.

Sforzando works on Linux Mint as a stand-alone application so compatibility with Linux does not seem to be the issue.

  • I am unable to find a .dll file of Sforzando to load in VeSTige. What folder should I look in? The Linux filesystem is still kind of confusing to me

  • .sfz files do not show up in VeSTige

Could someone help me out?

Thanks,
JoeReMi :D

If you cant find a dll for Sforzando it is because you have a VST3.
LMMS only natively support VST2 witch has the filetype dll.
You need a middlelayer between Sforzando and LMMS. Carla with Carla-rack is the one most Linux-users have success with.
