Where should I create the melodies, etc.?

Ok, so when I create a melodie I want to repeat and then move it to the Song track my other beat tracks are missing. Obviously, I am an idiot. Where and how should I create the melody tracks to place over the beat tracks? Any help is appreciated.

Normally you will create the percussion in the beat-&-bass editor and the melodies are created in piano-roll as midiclips that will be placed in song-editor together with the references to the percussion (as clolor-bars) and that will be your song.
